Hola, corny friends!! :)

I'm talking about, of course, picture choices. I have the most horrible time choosing pictures. So I went with the rainbow umbrella. =P

Anyway, if you hadn't noticed...

...IT'S ONLY A FEW DAYS UNTIL CHRISTMAS!!!!! =)

I don't know about you guys, but Christmas is one of my favorite holidays, and because of the reason OF the holidays.

Christ.

And please don't try and take His name out of it. Jesus Christ is the reason for the season. Thank you for understanding. :)

Yesterday,  I watched the movie Up again. It's such a cute movie. :) And I like it that they show that people are more important than things like memories and things that you want to hold onto. He (the old man) realized that his wife Ellie was long dead and the only thing he was hanging onto (literally) was just a house.

Anyway, that's all.

The War on Christmas

Hi ya'll!!
How are all of you doing. Hard to believe that Christmas is only twelve days away.

 I don't know about the rest of you, but because I am a Christian, this time of year is the most special to me. It is a time to slow down and reflect on the glourious truth that Jesus humbled himself to become human. To be born in a lowly stable, to parents that were neither rich nor influnential. This is so amazing, that He loved us enough to come down and seek and save that which is lost.

 If your interested go to youtube, type in Dr. Jeffers on the O'Reilly Facotor talking about the war on Christmas. Dr. Jeffers, has alot of gumption to speak about his veiws so honestly. I believe that's the reason that Christmas is under attack. It is because, those of us that claim to be Christians, won't speak out about the truth. We're to busy trying to hide and save face.

Keep praying for those that are willing to endure the ridicule that follows, those that are strong enough to speak out. Pray for them. If you call yourself a Christian act like one, Christ paid too big a price, for us to sit back and not speak out. Just something to think about.

Remember the true reason for Christmas.

 I just finished this really wonderful book called, "Till Morning is Nigh" It was really kind of sad, but yet a really great read. For all of ya'll that like Christmas, books I recommend it. Awesome book.

Merry Christmas Corny Friends

Hey all of my corny friends!!!
  Merry Christmas! I can't believe that its already this time of year. Crazy, no? Anyway, enjoy this Christmas. Read Christmasy themed books, listen to Christmas music, watch Christmas movies, as in my personal favorite, "It's a Wonderful Life" but above all remember the true reason for Christmas. Jesus Christ came as a little baby, to ransom us all from sin. He did that becuase of His love for us, nothing that we did. Just because he loves us. I sure am thankful He did and still does. Merry Christmas.

The Old Family Bible

I see the old family Bible,

Sitting quietly on the table.

I look around at the old house,

As rough as a stable.

In the Bible's pages,

Are tucked pictures--memories,

I pick it up, old in my hands,

It's here--and I have the keys.

I open the family Bible,

The pages flip quietly,

I look down at the words,

Wanting to unlock the mystery,

I want to find the precious words,

That I was read long ago.

I wanted to read about the parable,

When the farmer did sow.

About some birds, I'm pretty sure,

It's something that Jesus told,

And I sat down at that table,

And studied that Bible of old.

The pages were worn from many a hand,

Creased from many a teardrop.

But I just kept flipping--flipping on,

At the parable I didn't stop.

I flipped through all the pages,

Some ripped by small children's hands,

And my own teardrops mingle on the page,

As I wonder what's happening to our lands.

That page and serenity of the old family Bible,

Is dying out in this harsh and cruel world.

Where God is forgotten and Jesus is sworn,

And where fates were forgotten unfurled.
